Trail Workday: The Washburn/Cassian The work days will focus on completing the weeds, brushing, bench cutting and sigh placement. The new trail designs now provide for complete loops of different lengths...and they all will be signed.  Bring power weed whacker and blowers. The work day will start at noon  - we will stop at 4:00 pm so there is time to socialize. Anyone wanting to socialize afterward can bring food and drink (no glass bottles in the county park). Kirk Reese; Al J Jozwiak; Guy / Carol Hansen; Brian Hegge

Celebrate the "Grand Opening", which will formally open the shelter and connection trails.  Then ski a new connection to the Cassian; or, snowshoe a new connection between the shelter and Washburn. Directions: West on Cty Hwy K about 7 miles from the stop lights at 47/K.  L on Washburn Lake Rd, L on Trout Creek Rd, pass the boat landing, look for a R to the Perch Lake Park on the far side of the lake. Snowshoe: Washburn Trail In conjunction with the Washburn Area Silent Trails Fund Raiser Start from the Judy Swank Shelter at Perch Lake.  Snowshoe trails have several loops of different lengths.  Ski trails will also be open. Community service event: Hansen Lake Cleanup (regardless of weather)Meet at the DOT (DMV) parking lot on Hansen Lake Rd off of Hwy 47. Bring boats or plan to hike. Pick up trash along the trail, boat landing and beach as well as along the entire lake perimeter via kayak. This may require getting wet, wading along the shore.  Bring trash bags.  (Airport personnel will dispose of trash).
