Workday:
The Washburn/Cassian
The work days will focus on completing the weeds, brushing, bench
cutting and sigh placement. The new trail designs now provide for
complete loops of different lengths...and they all will be signed.
Bring power weed whacker and blowers. The work day will start at
noon - we will stop at 4:00 pm so there is time to socialize. Anyone
wanting to socialize afterward can bring food and drink (no glass

Hike, potluck and stories - Early evening walk at Langley or
Hanson lake with a ghoulish potluck/ fire to follow at 6:30pm at Marcia
O's home. Depending on weather, an open fire grill or barbecue. Bring
favorite ghost story! Nothing like ghostly tales by fire or pumpkin
light. Costumes are always appreciated for the fun of Halloween. Some

Perch Lake ShelterDedication
with cake, cider. Celebrate the "Grand Opening", which
will formally open the shelter and connection trails. Then ski a new
connection to the Cassian; or, snowshoe a new connection between the shelter and
Washburn. Directions: West on Cty Hwy K about 7 miles from the stop lights at
47/K. L on Washburn Lake Rd, L on Trout Creek Rd, pass the boat landing,
look for a R to the Perch Lake Park on the far side of the lake.

Lake ski / snowshoe trail. Elcho Ski Club is holding their open house. Food and
hot drinks to celebrate. Two miles west of Elcho on Moccasin Lake Road.
Directions: East on Hwy 8, South on 45 to Elcho. R on Enterprise Lake Rd, L on
Moccasin Lake Rd at the "Y. Ski trail is well marked. About 3/4 mile. There are
signs in Elcho directing you to the Moccasin Lake Ski /Snowshoe/Horse Trail. Bob

Swank Shelter at Perch Lake. Snowshoe trails have several loops of
different lengths. Ski trails will also be open. Donations accepted for
lunch: brats, hot cocoa, cider, and more. All contributions go towards
